Apparently people are divided into those who love cats, and those who prefer dogs. Our family has always been a typical cat-lovers family. Since childhood we always had a domestic cat, which took care of the delivery of kittens and “wet” blankets and all the pleasures of living with cats. The the university I have adopted a cat from a shelter, Barbucha, who unfortunately died a few years later of kidney failure. Than, Peter has enriched our newly created family with tabby colored Nisi and her buddy, brought from Africa, where he briefly worked for the embassy.
Together we have bought Siamese cat Mia and shortly after that she was followed with beautiful blue-point boy. Our Siamese pair settled down with us in a family house on the former hillside vineyard in a little village house, which we are gradually reconstructing.
In the autumn 2008 we decided to bring a dog to our family. Our choice finally fell on kennel Bistkupstwo, and so our first borzoi, mostly beloved member of the family Fermata came to us. Then we found, that the story about cats and dogs is a rumor – after all respects. Borzoi as if it was, what we always lacked. Soon Fermata was followed by the dog Allperi and in the end of February 2009 bitch Hatchepsut, Fermatas half-sister, expanded our pack. Year later Fermata’s sister Foxey Lady, who lost her home, came to us and lives with us now. In November 2011 we finally fulfiled our dream and we went to kennel Teine in USA. We brought home sweet beautiful Boots, Teine Seabury Walk On Water. It is hard to tell, how much we are thankful to Anne for our lovely girl, for all friendship and everything.
For us barzoi and siamese cats are as two sides of one coin. They say about siamese cats, that they are dogs in the cat’s skin – talkative, communicative, very smart and active, linked to owners as dogs. Borzoi – quiet, individualistic, independent as cats … Today it is clear to us that without them we would be missing something here, something what we never want to loose.
With our pack we go to shows and coursing and we love to visit borzoi friends. In the beginning of 2010 we have registered a name of the kennel – Izironk.
Unfortunately we do not have any siamese cats just now, because our beloved blue Haku was killed by stupid man and Mia have been lost only a few months after him. During 2011 we decided to bring two maincoon cats to our home, tom-cat Karamel and a girl Layla. We just got some nice show succeses and we plan to have kittens in the future.
We want to thank to Mr. Vladimír Šlechta for letting us to use a name Izironk from his books.
